Primary sources give you valuable insight into historical figures and events. Maps, diaries, newspapers, photographs, and other types of ephemera are both important and challenging to find. In this workshop, you’ll learn about special databases we subscribe to for primary source materials, and strategies for discovering and ethically using these resources from open-web repositories.

This workshop has two sessions for Go-local students and NYU Shanghai students, please choose the one that fits your schedule.

  • Intro to Data Structures – For Non-Programmers

This workshop continues the learning of Python from the last workshop session. The session introduces students to data structures in Python (Lists, Tuples, Sets and Dictionaries),  as well as iterations and functions.
